About Susan

The Team
My awesome and very supportive husband, Jay, and I have been the proud guardians of many beloved companions through the years. Below are pictures of these beloved companions, some have crossed the Rainbow Bridge but are still with us in spirit.

Fern is our most recent addition to the family and we adopted her from Best Friend Pet Adoptions. She is a playful pup and Ebony now has another friend to rough house with, much to Lizzie's relief.

Ebony is our little guy who we adopted from Cat Angels. He loves to play and chase, much to Lizzie's dismay.

Lizzie is our beloved Siamese mix, we fostered her for the SPCA and she decided to stay with us forever. She fit right in from day one.

Lulu is our senior Great Dane who we adopted from the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. Give her something soft to sleep on and she is a happy camper.

Harley was another "failed foster." We fostered her, along with her litter of kittens, for the SPCA and just fell in love with her sweet nature.

Petunia was also adopted from the SPCA - she was being fostered by a friend. She is our sensitive soul and likes to make sure there is harmony in the home.

Rascal came with my husband when we got married. Jay found him wandering the neighborhood as a kitten, so he came to live with Jay much to the horror of his other cat, Lulu.

I adopted Minnie from a family looking to find her a new home. She was one very smart dog who loved to herd my Boxer, Maudie, and had the most beautiful smile.

Maudie was the first dog I adopted on my own. She taught me a lot over the years, especially patience. She was just one big goofball that brought smiles on a daily basis.

Lulu also came with my husband when we got married. Though she was only about 4 lbs., all of our other animals, even our Great Dane, respected her and kept their distance. She almost lived 20 years.

Charlie was my best buddy throughout my childhood. I thank him for my love of animals.
